Lisa Parenteau-DePinto is a Chicago artist as well as a faculty member at the North Shore Art League.
Born in Chicago she studied at the American Academy of Art before moving to New York to continue her studies at the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts.
Lisa’s paintings are inspired by Chicago’s urban landscape and the people who inhabit it. Many of the subjects are close friends while some are complete strangers. Striving for truth, vibrancy and intimacy, friendships evolve through the painting process.

Teaching is an important part of her life and her process as an artist. She finds the dialogue with her students and being witness to their courageous and artistic journeys, exhilarating.
